Job Description

A Ph.D. position is available in my laboratory. The project is based on translational aspects of beneficial plant-microbial interaction. The candidate will conduct product-oriented research on crop improvement through sustainable climate-smart agriculture, using microbial interventions. The research will be carried-out in collaboration with the agro-biotech industry and agriculture-research institutes. Interested candidates should have qualified for a fellowship under the JRF/SRF scheme of CSIR, DBT etc. (i.e. only candidates with “own fellowship” can be accommodated).
Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Tech./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in biotechnology, life-sciences, biochemistry, plant biology, microbiology, molecular biology or a related discipline with at least 60% marks.
Hands-on experience in plant biology, particularly growing and handling agricultural crops is desirable.
