🌟 Exciting PhD opportunity at Oxford! 🌟

I’m really happy to share a PhD project in the Brain Network Dynamics Unit (Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences) and the MRC Centre of Research Excellence in Restorative Neural Dynamics.

This project aims to understand how oscillatory brain dynamics support memory in humans — using a combination of high-density intracranial recordings, closed-loop electrical stimulation, and multivariate analyses. The ultimate goal is to translate this knowledge into ways of enhancing memory and treating related disorders.

What makes this studentship so special is the chance to work at the interface of basic and translational neuroscience. You’ll not only have access to advanced techniques, but also join an ongoing collaboration between Pr. Dupret (Oxford) and Dr. Reddy (Toulouse), as well as Pr. Denison (Oxford).

On a personal note: I’ve been lucky to be part of this collaboration for the past 4 years, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey. You’ll get the chance to travel regularly to Toulouse for in vivo human electrophysiology experiments, then come back to Oxford to analyse data and refine the closed-loop system. You’ll also benefit from the 4 years of my PhD work — which already includes several rich intracranial datasets collected during memory, rest, and sleep (including high-quality single-neuron in vivo recordings!)
