PhD Opportunity | Chemical & Biochemical Recycling of Blended Textiles | Dublin City University

We’re looking for a passionate and talented PhD researcher to join the Kelleher Group at DCU collaborating with the PUreTex project – tackling one of the biggest challenges in sustainable chemistry: recycling blended textiles.
Blended fabrics make up the majority of global textile production, yet are notoriously difficult to recycle. This project aims to change that.

🔬 The research spans:
– Organic chemistry and chemical recycling
– Enzyme-based and biocatalytic techniques
– Separation science and mass spectrometry

📋 You’ll need: A 2.1 BSc (Hons) or MSc in Chemistry, Analytical Science Biochemistry, or equivalent. Final-year students expecting to graduate this year are encouraged to apply!
