PhD Opportunity in Tuberculosis Research | Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology 🚨

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, is inviting applications for PhD admissions, with two available positions under my research supervision at the Centre for Drug Discovery & Development (CDDD). The research will focus on tuberculosis (TB), host–pathogen interactions, and translational infectious disease biology.

🔬 Research Focus Includes:
> In vitro 3D granuloma models
> Host immune responses to Mycobacterial infections
> Biomarker discovery and validation
> Translational Immunology approaches for prophylactics, therapeutics and diagnostics development

👩‍🔬 Who can apply?
Candidates with a strong academic background in:
Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biomedical Sciences / Life Sciences
Prior research experience in immunology, molecular biology, or infectious diseases will be an added advantage.

Selected candidates will be strongly encouraged and mentored to apply for national fellowships, and will have access to a supportive and collaborative research environment with active funded projects.
