The PROTEMIC: EU MSCA Network for Protein Spectroscopy is offering a fully funded PhD position (DC9) in the field of mid-infrared laser spectroscopy, integrated photonics, and protein science, jointly hosted by Technische Universität Wien (Austria) and The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg (Germany).

➡️ What the position offers:
-) A fully funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship (up to 45 months).
-) A double doctorate jointly awarded by two leading European universities
Research experience in a multidisciplinary environment combining physics, photonics, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry.
-) International mobility with at least one year spent at each host institution.
-) A secondment with an industry partner and strong collaboration across academia and industry.

➡️ Project focus:
DC9: Advancing mid-IR dispersion spectroscopy toward chip-based passive Mach-Zehnder Interferometers — developing cutting-edge approaches for laser-based protein sensing and integrated photonic systems.
