I am seeking a PhD student with a background in molecular microbiology, electromicrobiology, chemistry or similar for a project that will address how catalytically active G-quadruplex/hemin DNAzymes form from extracellular DNA and RNA in biofilms, and which implications they have for biofilms in an environmental, biotechnological or medical context.
