Interested in gut microbiome research and anaerobic microbiology?

We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to join an ERC-funded project at @APC Microbiome Ireland/@School of Microbiology UCC.

Based in the Dr @Hilary Browne Lab, this role will focus on understanding how commensal gut bacteria interact with pathogens, using anaerobic microbiology and bioinformatics approaches to identify ways to inhibit harmful microbes.

– 2 year, full-time position
– Focus on spore-forming gut bacteria and microbiome function
– Based at University College Cork

We are looking for candidates with a PhD in microbiome research and/or anaerobic microbiology, with experience in bioinformatics (e.g. genomics, comparative or functional genomics) desirable.
