Position: Scientist / Senior Scientist – Recombinant Protein R&D
Location: GeNei Laboratories, Electronic City Phase II, Bangalore

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist / Senior Scientist to lead and scale our Recombinant Protein Production R&D initiatives at GeNei Laboratories. The role involves end-to-end ownership of protein development programs, team leadership, and driving innovation across upstream and downstream processes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional R&D team, defining clear KPIs and ensuring timely milestone achievement.
Develop and execute R&D strategies, project timelines, and budgets for recombinant protein programs.
Drive seamless collaboration across multiple verticals to accelerate product and technology development.
Optimize processes across the pipeline—from gene cloning to purified protein, ensuring scalability, yield, and quality.
Present technical progress, insights, and recommendations to internal leadership, partners, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience
PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven hands-on experience in recombinant protein production using:
E. coli, Insect cell systems & Mammalian cell systems
Downstream processing (protein purification & characterization)
Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end protein production workflows.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Tools & Software Proficiency:
Molecular Biology & Bioinformatics: SnapGene, Vector NTI, or similar tools
Data Analysis & Statistics: GraphPad Prism or equivalent
Protein Structure & Modelling: PyMOL, SwissSidechain, AlphaFold, or similar platforms
