Job Description
Dear ambitious Master’s students and recent Master’s graduates — I’m looking to hire you.
Join me at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) for a 6-month research experience where you’ll work closely with me on fundamental questions in biology.
You’ll receive a basic student stipend while based in Lausanne.
This is a hands-on role — you’ll work directly with me most of the time, not on the sidelines.
Together, we’ll explore key questions at the intersection of immunity and cell death using fly genetics, such as:
– How does a heightened innate immune state trigger cell death?
– How is this cell death communicated to distant organs?
– What does this mean for the organism as a whole?
What I’m looking for:
You don’t need prior experience in fly genetics — I’ll teach you that.
What matters more is how you approach the work:
– You’re a team player
– You’re eager to learn and ready to commit
– You take ownership of your tasks and follow through
