Job Description

📢 Our computational team in Toronto is hiring again!

At Shift, we’re uncovering the biology of cell rejuvenation to end morbidity and mortality from aging. Combining machine learning and cell biology, our AI-powered approach leverages virtual cell technology and large-scale, proprietary multiomic datasets to compress centuries of real-world experiments into months.

We’re looking for a Computational Biologist to join our Toronto team. You’ll work with our wet-lab team, analyse large-scale genomics data, and help evolve our AI-based target discovery platform.

The ideal candidate has a strong biology background, solid coding skills, and clear communication – experience with machine learning is a plus.

What you’ll do:

– Build and maintain genomics pipelines (e.g., Nextflow)
– Analyse scRNA-seq and DNA methylation datasets
– Implement and apply aging clocks
– Collaborate with wet-lab scientists to test hypotheses
– Write clean, reproducible code and present results clearly
