LigronBio is a biotechnology startup pioneering AI-designed molecular glues to selectively degrade disease-causing proteins involved in Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative disorders. Our approach combines AI-driven drug design, high-content screening, and stem cell-based models to unlock new therapeutic pathways for conditions previously deemed undruggable.
Position Overview
We are seeking two motivated full-time scientists to join our research team at the Aquillius Innovation Hub in San Diego. The focus will be on targeted protein degradation and neurodegenerative disease modeling, contributing to the development of next-generation therapies for Alzheimer’s disease.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and optimize High-Content Screening (HCS) assays using HEK293 / Human Tau K18 (GFP) stable cell lines.
Perform assay setup, validation, and optimization for screening molecular glue compounds.
Conduct secondary screening using iPSC-derived neurons or organoids.
Quantify protein levels of c-Raf, Tau, and Amyloid under varying dose and time conditions.
Analyze experimental data and collaborate closely with the computational modeling team.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Strong background in cell biology, neurobiology, or assay development.
Hands-on experience with HCS platforms, fluorescence microscopy, and quantitative imaging.
Familiarity with iPSC cultures and organoid systems is a plus.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative disease research.
