VNIT, Nagpur invites applications in the form of research proposals from highly motivated and
research oriented scholars for the Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) position for the Academic Year
2025-2026. Candidate can visit website www.vnit.ac.in to identify the Domain Research Area
of the faculty members (mentor) working in the respective Departments. If the Post-Doctoral
Fellow is availing any other fellowship; he/she is not eligible to apply. Candidates who meet the
eligibility criteria for admission may apply through the available form on the institute’s website
(www.vnit.ac.in).

Minimum Eligibility:
Candidate should apply within 5 years after completion of Ph.D.
 Ph.D. with relevant research/industrial experience.
 Candidate should have minimum 2 Publications in SCI/SCIE/AHCI/SSCI Journals.
 Candidate should have good academic records throughout and good writing skills.
 Candidate submitted the Ph.D. thesis and waiting for thesis defense are also encouraged
to apply.
 Candidate should produce copy of Ph.D. at the time of personal interview.
 No Objection Certificate, if employed.
 Maximum Age 40 years.
 Candidate completed their Ph.D. from VNIT Nagpur are not eligible to apply.
Financial support:
The position is for maximum period of 2 years.
 Non lapsable Contingency grant Rs. 25000/- per year.
 Financial support for attending and presenting paper in one National Conference only.
 The candidates will also be provided with suitable Hostel/Campus accommodation as per
VNIT Nagpur norms if requested and if available. Otherwise, he/she will be paid HRA as
per the norms.
