Position Overview

We seek exceptionally bright and motivated candidates with a proven record in research and a strong potential for exemplary teaching. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant academic community, engage in specialized as well as interdisciplinary research, and contribute to student’s academic and professional development. Accordingly, we need faculty for both on-campus and off-campus needs. 

Prospective Candidates Background

On-Campus faculty

1. A PhD with an exceptional research footprint (publications in top-tier journals and conferences) and excellent academic pedigrees is necessary. In addition to a strong commitment to research, teaching, and mentoring students, our faculties are expected to secure research funding and contribute to the institution’s academic and research goals.
2. We receive many applications with a very strong resume, and hence, candidates with industrial and/or Postdoctoral experience from institutions of repute will have an edge.
3. Applicants with three years of post-PhD experience as an Assistant Professor at a reputed university may be considered for Academic Level – 13A1. Such decisions will be at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
4. Candidates applying for the post of Professor and above must have demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and administration.

Off-Campus faculty

1. Industry professionals with rich industry experience and an inclination towards teaching and academics would be preferred for full-time Assistant and Associate professor positions.
2. These faculty positions will aspire you to contribute to the development of innovative learning models and positively impact the development of new-age industry professionals.
3. Candidates looking for part-time teaching roles should apply for Guest faculty positions only.

Faculty recruitment process @BITS Pilani:

• After a thorough screening of all the applicants for necessary eligibility criteria, the successful applications are forwarded to the empowered committee of the respective department, which will schedule an audio-visual interview. This interview is the first level of screening, in which a shortlist of candidates is prepared.
• Based on the feedback and recommendations of the departmental committee, a final interview of all the short-listed candidates is arranged with a committee of subject experts and institute leadership. Successful candidates are intimated in the shortest possible time. It is our endeavor to shorten the duration of the application and recruitment process.
