🔬 Fully Funded PhD Opportunity – Structural Biology
📍 University of Birmingham | UK Nationals Only

We are recruiting a PhD student to study human RNA helicases, essential RNA-processing enzymes linked to cancer and neurodegenerative disease. Our recent discoveries show that RNA-binding domains (RBDs) act as on/off switches for helicase activity, opening new regulatory and drug-targeting possibilities.

This project uses an integrated structural biology approach, including cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, NMR, and biophysical assays, providing broad, high-impact training.

💰 Funding: Fully funded, 3.5 years
