Meeting Venue & Co-Host
CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB), located in New Delhi, is a premier research institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Over the past 2 decades, CSIR-IGIB has emerged as a leading center for genomics, molecular biology and integrative systems biology in India, driving innovative research that bridges fundamental biology with translational applications in health, biotechnology and disease diagnostics.
CSIR-IGIB houses state-of-the-art infrastructure that supports cutting-edge research in microbial systems and host–microbe interactions. CSIR-IGIB has extensive genomics and multi-omics capabilities, including next-generation sequencing platforms and high-throughput molecular biology laboratories. Complementing these experimental resources are strong computational biology and data analytics programs, supported by high-performance computing infrastructure for large-scale genomic and systems biology analyses. The institute houses advanced biosafety level-3 (BSL-3) facilities for studying high-risk pathogens, along with modern microscopy platforms that enable detailed visualization of microbial and cellular processes. Together, these facilities enable researchers to investigate microbial physiology, genome-based surveillance, evolution and community dynamics, while integrating experimental insights with advanced data-driven approaches. With strong interdisciplinary programs that integrate experimental and data-driven approaches, CSIR-IGIB has contributed significantly to understanding infectious diseases and genome biology. Through national and international collaborations, training programs and translational initiatives, the institute continues to play a key role in advancing genomic science and fostering innovative research at the interface of biology, data science and medicine.
