THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Contractor to join the Department of Antibody Engineering within Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED). In this wet-lab-focused role, you will play an integral role in our Lab-in-the-Loop, helping generate key data to empower our next-generation of AI/ML models and antibody therapeutics. We are looking for a self-driven, productive individual who excels at troubleshooting. Your core responsibilities will include generating high throughput datasets via SPR and Yeast Display and analyzing high-quality data to inform critical project decisions. WHO YOU ARE You have a  BS/MS/PhD  degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biophysics, Molecular and Cell Biology, Structural Biology, or Chemical Biology. Experience in molecular biology and protein/antibody characterization/engineering are essential. Previous experience with automation, SPR characterization, and/or yeast display are a plus Highly motivated individual who is proactive, resourceful, and organized. Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new techniques and problem-solve. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
