We are hiring a JRF for a very interesting interdisciplinary project on peptide discovery. Interested candidates are requested to apply by November 16, 2026. 🔬 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲: Rational design of broad-spectrum antifungal peptides and peptide-based enzyme mimics for neutralization of mycotoxins 👨🔬𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: Prof. Debirupa Mitra (Chemical Engineering), Prof. Arnab Dutta (Chemical Engineering) and Prof. Abhishek Saha (Chemistry) 💼 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: • Duration: 24 months • Place of work: BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus • Fellowship (inclusive of HRA @30%): ₹48,100/month • Opportunity to register for a PhD in BITS (subject to eligibility) 🎓 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: • M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Biotechnology or M. Pharm. or M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Life Sciences / Medicinal Chemistry, or allied disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA). • Candidate valid GATE/NET/any other Central Government conducted national examination will be preferred • Interest in pursuing a PhD in the area of antifungal peptide design and characterization and design of enzyme-mimicking peptides 🎯 Desired skills: ·       In Vitro Microbiology & Enzymology (antifungal assays, cytotoxicity using cell culture models, hemolysis assays, functional assays for mycotoxin degradation e.g. quantification via HPLC/ELISA) ·       Experience in handling animal models for safety, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy studies will be preferred 📩 Interested candidates should fill this form: https://lnkd.in/drnyV3sa 📅 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆: 16 November 2026 (Tentative Online Interview Date: November 23, 2026).
