Applications are invited for the one position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for the following time-bound sponsored project as per the details given below:
“Delineating the genetic interactions between Histone Demethylases and DNA damage repair genes to develop personalized tumour detection and treatment” funded by ICMR

Educational Qualifications: Candidate should have PhD degree in any field of Biological Sciences
with at least 1 first author research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal
Citations Reports (JCR).
Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules,
depending upon qualifications & experience:
Rs. 56,000/- Per month plus HRA 30% (As per funding agency norms).
Job Description: Experience in molecular biology, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, and epigenetics
(specifically ChIP-seq and DNA methylation profiling) is a must. Handling of mammalian cell lines
and advanced cell culture techniques, including the establishment and maintenance of
patient-derived organoids, is a must. Candidates with experience in bioinformatics (Whole Exome
Sequencing data analysis), drug-sensitivity assays, and processing clinical tumour samples are also
encouraged to apply.
General Terms & Conditions:

The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or for the duration
of the project, whichever is shorter, at a time.

No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.

Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach
documentary proof of the same.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.

contain details of the experimental expertise and list of publications.
