Company Description- Ostic Pharma Pvt Ltd is a healthcare start-up incubated with SINE (Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship), IIT Bombay. The company focuses on both disruptive and incremental innovations to improve public health and societal well-being. Its mission is to deliver high-quality healthcare technologies at low cost, with particular attention to vulnerable populations. Ostic Pharma currently develops and manufactures vitro diagnostics, Devices, CRISPR based rapid molecular diagnostics for different Diseases including pharmaceutical formulations and Nutraceuticals. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to work that directly supports accessible and affordable diagnostics.
Role Description: This is an on-site internship role based in Mumbai. The Industry Oriented Intern will support day-to-day activities in product development, quality control, quality assurance, laboratory operations, market research and / or business development.
Responsibilities may include assisting in experimental setup, sample handling, data recording, preliminary data analysis, and documentation under supervision. The intern will collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand product workflows, standard operating procedures, and regulatory considerations. Additional tasks may involve literature review, preparing technical notes or reports, and contributing to process improvements as guided by the team.
Eligibility: Pharma / Life Sciences / Biomedical Engineering / Ph.D. Fellows/ Research Scholars / Aspirants from medical & paramedical background
Strong foundation in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline.
Basic laboratory skills such as pipetting, solution preparation, and safe handling of biological or chemical materials.
Ability to collect, organize, and interpret experimental or operational data with attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and teamwork.
Capacity to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory or quality guidelines.
Demonstrated interest in diagnostics, public health, or affordable healthcare technologies.
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate program.
Willingness to work on-site in Mumbai, adapt to a start-up environment, and learn from cross-functional teams.
Tenure : 06 Months -12 Months
