Job Description
Experience:
1–2 years of experience in bioinformatics, biostatistics, or computational biology.
Educational Qualification:
M.Sc./M.Tech. in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Required Skills:
Good understanding of basic statistics (t-test, ANOVA, correlation, regression, chi-square, multiple testing).
Proficiency in R (mandatory) for statistical analysis and visualization.
Experience with biological data analysis (transcriptomics, genomics, or clinical datasets).
Knowledge of data preprocessing, quality control, and exploratory data analysis.
Familiarity with public biological databases (GEO, NCBI, Ensembl, KEGG, Reactome).
Ability to generate publication-quality figures (ggplot2, pheatmap, EnhancedVolcano, etc.).
Basic SQL knowledge for extracting and managing clinical data is desirable.
Good documentation and scientific reporting skills.
Preferred Skills:
Differential gene expression analysis (e.g., limma/DESeq2).
Pathway enrichment analysis (GO, KEGG, GSEA).
GWAS or genetic data analysis is an added advantage.
Basic Linux command-line experience.
Git/GitLab version control is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform statistical analysis of clinical and omics datasets.
Analyze transcriptomics/genomics data using R.
Conduct pathway and functional enrichment analyses.
Prepare tables, figures, and summaries for manuscripts and presentations.
Assist in manuscript writing and research documentation.
Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to interpret biological findings.
Maintain reproducible analysis pipelines and well-documented code.
