Job Description

Applications are now open for the 2027-2028 mBio Early-Career Editorial Board, a highly selective training program designed for early-career microbiologists interested in peer review and learning more about scholarly publishing.

As an ECB member, you will:
📚 Receive structured training in peer review, publication ethics, research integrity, and responsible AI use in publishing
📃 Review real manuscripts submitted to mBio
👩🏽‍🏫 Work one-on-one with an experienced mBio Editor
✔️ Receive personalized feedback on your reviews
🛜 Build professional connections with fellow scientists and journal editors

We welcome applicants from all geographic regions and encourage researchers from groups underrepresented in the sciences to apply.
