#PhD Opportunity

21st century will be remembered for how much food we produced and consumed safely and sustainably without harming soil, water, or climate?

At IIT Delhi’s Agri-Nanotech Lab, we are 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 at the intersection of:
a) Soil Nanotoxicity: understanding how nanoparticles interact with soil microbes and creating #SafeByDesign innovations.
b) Plant Protection: using AI and ML to detect crop stress before symptoms appear, build data pipelines and decision support for farms.
c) Future Foods and Smart Proteins: from millet bakeries empowering rural women to vegan egg and meat analogues for global food security.

It’s a fantastic journey 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙨𝙤𝙞𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.
Our PhD students are engaged in exciting research on :
• Tracking how MoX nanoparticles reshape soil microbial diversity and toxicity.
• Building AI pipelines for disease detection in crops.
• Developing sustainable protein innovations addressing malnutrition.

This semester, I am looking to connect with 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗗 students and 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 eager to work on 𝘼𝙄, 𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚.
