Job Description

I am looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our team and contribute to an exciting project at the interface of immunology and infectious diseases.

Invasive fungal infections represent a major global health burden, with over 2 million cases annually and high mortality rates. This project aims to uncover fundamental mechanisms of the innate immune response to fungal pathogens, combining in vivo and in vitro approaches within a dynamic and collaborative research environment.
A particular focus will be placed on previously unexplored functions of the JAK–STAT signaling pathway during fungal infection.

▶︎ Strong background in immunology, mycology/microbiology, or cell biology preferred
▶︎ Curiosity, rigor, and motivation are essential
