Job Description

The German Heart Center of the Free State of Bavaria is a clinic affiliated with the School of Medicine and Health at the Technical University of Munich, with an international reputation and state-of-the-art research and medical facilities. The Laboratory of Population Genomics and Functional Genomics at the Department of Cardiology is seeking part-time (65%)

Project description

The biological projects aim to discover the therapeutic potential of gene targets for obesity and coronary artery disease in cell, organoid, and animal models using large-scale genome screening.

Profile 

  • Skills in CRISPR-based gene editing, cell culture, and animal experiments
  • Strong interest in cardiovascular research
  • Accuracy and reliability, initiative, organizational skills, and a high sense of responsibility
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • High level of communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
