Position: Portfolio Manager

Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Initially for 1 year (extendable on performance)

The BITS BioCyTiH Foundation (BBF) is a Sec. 8 Co. hosted by BITS Pilani under the National Mission
of Interdisciplinary Cyber-physical Systems (NM- ICPS) of Government of India.
The mandate of the company is to fashion a platform that would foster translational research,
innovation, skill development and entrepreneurship in areas of bio-cyber-physical systems (Bio-
CPS) related to healthcare, agriculture, water and environment. The aim is to build state of the art
national facilities across three campuses of BITS Pilani (viz. Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad), and extend
support to innovators and startups building technology solutions.
The context and the role:
We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated professional who can efficiently contribute to
incubator / accelerate operations. The BBF team functions with an entrepreneurial mindset. We
value talent, passion and perseverance, and are looking for a “can-do” attitude, ability to work
independently as well as a part of a team. The present role is target oriented and entails suitable
incentives.
Portfolio Manager
The portfolio manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the investment portfolio of
BBF. This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets and investment management
principles.
Role:
o Manage the investment portfolio and investment strategy of BBF.
o Monitor / analyse financial market trends and macroeconomic factors to identify and
recommend investment opportunities
o Prepare investment proposals and periodic reports for the top management
o Perform risk assessments and work on exit strategies.
o Maintain relationships with external investment managers.
o Provide guidance and mentorship to startups

Qualifications:
o A recognised degree.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, with a track record of
generating positive returns on investment
o Strong analytical skills
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to work both independently and in a team
o Proficiency in common software applications including financial modelling software
o CFA, CAIA or related certifications are desirable

o Below 55 years
