Schrödinger seeks a Postdoctoral Scientist to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods!

As a member of the Therapeutics Group, you’ll play a key role in drug discovery research in the area of antimalarial drug resistance, in collaboration with an academic lab. This will be a one-year position.

Who Will Love This Job

• An experienced scientist who can use SPR and/or ITC to measure the affinity of protein/ligand interactions, and who can solve protein/ligand structures by X-ray crystallography
• A computational modeler who’s familiar with the Schrödinger platform
• A proficient Python programmer
• An excellent verbal and written communicator who’s confident conducting independent research
  

What You’ll Do

• Perform protein purification
• Execute wet-lab biophysical ligand-binding experiments, such as SPR and ITC
• Make computational modeling calculations, such as molecular dynamics and free energy perturbation simulations
  

What You Should Have

• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field
• Proficiency in measuring the affinity of protein/ligand interactions

Estimated base salary: $90,000. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
