We’re Hiring at Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited 💼Position: Synthetic Organic Chemist – Small Molecule Drug Discovery (Prior Peptide Synthesis Experience Required) 📍 Location: Vadodara, India | Full-time | On-site 📧 Apply/Refer: drugdiscoverycareer@alembic.co.in Role Overview:- We are looking for a Synthetic Organic Chemist with strong hands-on experience in organic synthesis and prior peptide or macrocyclic peptide chemistry to support our small molecule drug discovery programs. Key Responsibilities :- • Execute multistep organic synthesis from milligram to gram scale • Optimize and troubleshoot synthetic routes for yield, purity, reproducibility, scalability • Apply coupling reactions, protecting-group strategies and functional-group transformations • Perform compound isolation and purification using column chromatography and preparative HPLC • Interpret LC-MS, analytical HPLC and NMR data to confirm compound identity and assess purity. • Apply prior peptide chemistry expertise to route planning and problem-solving Preferred Candidate Profile :- • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in ChemistryB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, preferably Organic Chemistry • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in drug discovery, pharmaceutical or CRO environments and Prior hands-on peptide synthesis experience is required • Experience with SPPS/LPPS, HATU/EDC/DIC coupling, Fmoc/Boc chemistry, peptide cleavage, preparative HPLC and lyophilization • Strong experience in synthetic organic chemistry, multistep synthesis and compound characterization 👉 Please refer to the attached Job Description for detailed information. 📧 Apply/Refer: drugdiscoverycareer@alembic.co.in
