Central Research Laboratory (CRL), KIMS, Bengaluru is expanding its Microbial Genomics & Bioinformatics Division. It invites applications from motivated researchers interested in pathogen genomics, microbial whole-genome sequencing, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and genomic epidemiology. Role: Research Associate – Bioinformatics No. of Positions: 2 Location: Bengaluru, India Key Responsibilities Analysis and interpretation of microbial whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data from bacterial pathogens. Processing of Illumina/Nanopore- short-read sequencing/Long read data, including quality assessment, read trimming, genome assembly and annotation. Species identification, genomic characterization and comparative genomics of bacterial isolates. Analysis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) determinants, virulence-associated genes and other genomic features. MLST/cgMLST, SNP-based analysis and phylogenomic analysis. Integration and interpretation of genomic data Preparation of analytical reports, research outputs, manuscripts and scientific presentations. Qualification M.Sc. / M.Tech. / Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
