We are pleased to share that Medscape Pharma is currently looking for a Principal Scientist/ Chief Scientist/ CSO to lead our diversified research and development programs.

We are seeking a highly accomplished scientific leader with deep expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, protein chemistry, and related areas, who can help drive our programs from the pre-commercial stage to commercialization. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience and proven records in guiding multidisciplinary scientific teams, cross-functional management etc.. This role will be central to shaping our innovation pipeline and advancing novel platforms in diagnostics and therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee research and development programs at Medscape Pharma.
2. Drive scientific strategy for diversification and commercialization of innovative products.
3. Guide teams working in molecular biology, biochemistry, protein chemistry, and related fields.
4. Support development of radiopharmaceuticals, including antibody-linked novel cancer therapeutics.
5. Oversee development of DNA-protein conjugates and hybrid molecules for diagnostic applications.
6. Contribute to advancements in immunoPCR, proximity ligation assays, aptamer-based sensors, and crystal-based diagnostics.
7. Provide scientific direction for DNA synthesis, plasmid-based work, and assay development.
8. Build and mentor a high-performing multidisciplinary R&D team.
9. Collaborate with leadership to translate scientific programs into commercial outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, protein chemistry, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 15–20 years of experience in relevant scientific and R&D roles.
3. Proven expertise in protein engineering and advanced assay development for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
4. Demonstrated leadership experience in research program management.
5. Ability to take projects from concept through pre-commercial and commercial stages.
