Mid-Year PhD Admissions 2026–27 | Tata IISc Medical School We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the PhD programme at the Tata IISc Medical School, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. Our Medical School aims to advance interdisciplinary basic and translational research to address the healthcare needs of India and the world. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring researchers to work closely with clinicians and scientists, investigate real-world clinical problems, and pursue research with the potential to translate into meaningful improvements in patient care. 🔬 Current PhD Opportunities We invite applications from motivated candidates interested in pursuing research across four disciplines: 🔹 Nephrology – Kidney disease mechanisms, iron biology, xenotransplantation, and drug discovery. 🔹 Hematopathology – Precision diagnostics, translational haematology, cancer biology, and haemostasis. 🔹 Neurology – Epilepsy, neuroimmunology, neurophysiology, neuromodulation, and AI/ML. 🔹 Pulmonary Medicine – Chronic pulmonary infections, pulmonary immunology, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, and AI/ML.
