Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Biology

The Computational Technology and Medicine Laboratory (CMT Lab), led by Prof. Deepak Agrawal at IIT Bombay, invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher position in molecular biology and synthetic biology, with a focus on developing biology-based technologies for healthcare and disease-related applications.


Essential Requirements
– Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biosciences, Bioengineering, Synthetic Biology, or a closely related field.
– Significant hands-on experience in molecular biology experiments and bacterial culture work.

– Practical experience with aseptic techniques, bacterial growth and maintenance, transformation, plasmid preparation, cloning, gene-expression workflows, or related microbiology/molecular biology methods.
– Interest in applying synthetic biology approaches to disease-related and healthcare-focused problems.
– Ph.D. awarded within the last 12 months, with less than 1 year of post-Ph.D. experience.
– At least one first-author Q1 journal publication.
– Ph.D. thesis must already have been submitted at the time of application.
