Job Description
Postdoctoral Positions – Tang Lab
The Tang Lab is seeking to hire 1-2 postdoctoral researchers to study bacterial stress responses and how bacterial infections alter host metabolism and immune responses. Our research focuses on understanding both bacterial physiology and host-pathogen interactions at the molecular and cellular levels. Candidates with a background in bacterial physiology, bacterial pathogenesis, and host-pathogen interactions are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates should also have strong scientific communication skills and a strong publication record. In addition, candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork and leadership skills to lead projects and mentor younger scientists in the lab.
The postdoctoral researcher will be supported by active NIH R35 and R01 grants, as well as Dr. Tang’s startup funding. The Tang Lab provides a supportive and collaborative research environment. The PI is supportive of candidates whose long-term career goals are in either industry or academia.
Interested candidates should submit the following materials:
1. A cover letter describing their research background and reasons for applying
2. A current CV
3. Contact information for three references
The position will remain open until filled.
