Job Description
We’re hiring: Postdoctoral Research Fellow, SARS-CoV-2 infection and cardiovascular disease We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join an interdisciplinary program investigating how SARS-CoV-2 infection leads to cardiovascular disease (CVD). The position is supported by a funded research grant. It sits at the interface of infectious diseases, immunology, cardiovascular biology, and translational research. Research focus Host-pathogen interactions during SARS-CoV-2 infection Molecular pathways underlying cardiovascular complications of COVID-19 Immune and inflammatory mechanisms driving cardiac dysfunction Qualifications PhD in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Virology, Cell Biology, Cardiovascular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals Experience in one or more of the following: – Mammalian cell culture and virus culturing – Omics approaches (RNA-seq, proteomics, metabolomics) – Animal models of infectious or cardiovascular disease How to apply Please email the following to office.cidr@iisc.ac.in Curriculum vitae A brief statement of research interests Contact details of two to three referees Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
